Presentation at the Danish Social-Liberal Party’s New Year Meeting

January 15th, 2010

At the Danish Social-Liberal Party’s New Year meeting in Nyborg on January 9 and 10, party delegates along with three leaders of major Danish political parties, set the stage for a discussion of future opportunities and challenges of the Danish economy and welfare state.

Mette Laursen was invited to give a presentation of LinKS’ angle on the challenges of a people that has until recently primarily operated in a culturally homogeneous sphere. This is now rapidly changing - due to immigration, globalization and technological change.

Mette’s input to the participants focused on the improving opportunities for co-creation that lie in growing connectedness. She also challenged the participants’ mental models to prove that the ability to change mental model greatly improves the possibility of effective change on a personal and a national level.

Mette then explained how the way to success can be paved by formulating a truly shared vision while focusing on improving peripheral vision, networking skills, innovative thinking and motivation.
