The Club House - under construction!

June 22nd, 2007

In LinKS, the LinKS alumni group have started an initiative of creating a new club concept for leaders, opinionmakers, innovators and great people: Meeting with a Purpose - the third place.

We designed this project as a true innovation process. We work in cycles and full prototypes - the first one will fly in October.

The LinKS alumni group is represented by executives from Wonderful Copenhagen, e-Types, C4-World, Georg Jensen, Arkitema and Copenhagen Capacity and now we welcome The International Club of Copenhagen, directed by the bridgebuilder, Hasse Ferrold. ICC is a club of executives, diplomats and spearheads from the Danish and international society. We welcome the distinguished ICC and do look forward to work on the future based on our collective intelligence.

The confusion about what the new initiative should be called have been solved in the most positive and constructive way, resulting in a coorporation with the already longtime established International Club of Copenhagen and we confirm that the name Copenhagen International Club will not be used in relation to the club house project to avoid confusion.

Message delivered…

March 12th, 2007

I had a special task of delivering a hand carried invitation for Sheihka Mouza, the beautiful and bright wife of the Emir who put design on the agenda of Doha, Qatar. The invitation was about INDEX: Design to improve life and her Highness’ participation in the top Summit in CPH in August. Index: is focusing on User Centered design this year and the world’s leading experts will be gathering in Copenhagen from August 24. Check out the INDEX: project on www.indexaward.dk it happens to be the world’s largest design price.

Delivering the invitation I met with Khaled from the Royal office. We had breakfast together and a great talk - I got a good insight in the Qatari culture. We also touched upon Ducati motorcycles whom I visited in Bologna with Italian ISTUD Business School the week before – I will tell you more about that tomorrow.

November 18th, 2006

I had the most extra-ordinary experience this thursday - I met Ged at the INDEX: launch of awards 2007. Ged is in the Jury and I am in the Board. What is WEF and Ged doing in CPH? Well, I hope Kigge Hvid, CEO of INDEX: will chat to us about that. Kigge will be on W7 to Wharton. www.indexaward.dk

Ged Davis is a rare species. Sharp in scenarios and a background from Shell and a fresponsible, intelligent view on the future of this planet. The executive of the future. We talked for a long time - here are just the first couple of minutes to give you an impression. I hope to see Ged here at the LinKS Blog in the future. Ged Davis, CEO WEF

Last year 6 Danish people went to DAVOS and Anders Fogh Rasmussen flew in for a short while - not excactly an overwhelming Danish presence. I wonder if we should consider checking out DAVOS World Economic Forum, annual meeting, January 24-28 2007? www.weforum.org.

Mads Kjaer, chairman of KjaerGroup, www.kjaergroup.com, has started a revolutionary program, C4-World, designed as a new model of the world economics. Mads Kjaer is member of the LinKS Advisory Board and is one of the best thinkers I ever met. Listen to his key points about about C4 for your self.

It is about solving the problems of Africa to influence tomorrow’s Africa and the goal of creating sustainable development across continents. And guess what, Mads is taking this all the way through the UN, Bono, local African entrepreneurs and the greatest companies of the world. Keep an eye on this project, it will change the way the world goes around.
